Graduated from the Moscow Academy of Graphic Arts as a graphic artist, started as a press photographer for Italian, French and Spanish editions and, at the same time, a proactive participant at painting and graphic exhibitions by Moscow artists, Vladimir started his upraising artistic career. An award-winning Russian photographer whose works have been widely exhibited in Russia, as well as in United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates, Japan and other big cities in Europe, is interested in themes relating to the city and the history of his native country.



In 1996 Clavijo-Telepnev receives "Master-96" prize for the best advertising project.
Since 1999 - a member of the Union of Photoartists of Russia.
In 1996, 1998 and 2000 - participation in Moscow International Photobiennial Exhibition, organized by the Moscow Photography House.
Since 2000 - the instructor on subjects of «advertising photo and composition» at the faculty of journalism of the Moscow State University, also a member of the Russian Union of Photo Artists.
2001 - the Kodak award winner.
2001 - Clavijo-Telepnev launches his own photo art school.
2001 - the first album, Imperfecto, is published.
2002 - the second album, Impressions, is published.
Since 2003 - a lecturer at the Design Academy.
2003 - receives an award for the best photo project at the Expo Beauty perfume contest.
2005 - the Cherry Orchard album is published.
Clavijo-Telepnev’s works are divided into numerous series. His skills are transformation of a negative image into a positive one, everything he chooses as a photo-target of his creative vision, becomes elegant, stylish even pretentious, but always beautiful and as a result - positive. Vladimir uses a variety of techniques and styles and he works with different themes, but always works in black and white, monochrome, sepia, with a touch of shades of color. He deliberately stints himself in using colors to put a greater emphasis on lines, forms and plasticity. His art photography tends to be retro. Russian photographer shoots landscapes, Stalinist architecture. The photographer created a series of portraits of Russian’s modern art workers. Clavijo-Telepnev is an owner of innumerable titles and awards. In particular, he was named a living classic of Russian art photography by the experts of the Moscow Photography House. His art depicts understanding that only the artistic point of view and style allow to transform a single moment of a real life into a piece of art. Some of Vladimir’s works are kept in personal collections of Dmitry Medvedev, Elton John, Nursultan Nazarbayev and others.
